The suspension upgrade is well underway for this S-10, with the 6-link installed and new Slam bags in place. The raised gas tank crossmember might not have been the most "fun" or visually rewarding upgrade, but for the sake of safety, the gas tank needed to be raised (as much as possible), and the driveshaft needed to clear the crossmember, which was accomplished with this crossmember. Everything that was originally mounted on the crossmember had to be removed and re-mounted to the new crossmember, including the 4-link, charcoal canister, exhaust, and gas tank. The bed was also notched underneath in order to clear, and the front gas tank strap bolts had to be re-drilled on the side of the frame in order to raise the front part of the tank. So, this was not exactly a painless bolt-on crossmember, but as long as the truck was apart, this needed to be done.
