Suspension Upgrade Project Part VIII: Dakota Digital Air Ride Gauges Happy New Year! If you have not been following along, this is Part 8 of a basic suspension upgrade to my '99 S10. With new bags, valves, crossmember, and 6-link successfully installed, we're coming along, but not done yet!
I figured that any suspension upgrade would not be complete without a set of clean and classy Dakota Digital gauges to replace those inaccurate, hard-to-read needle gauges. My needle gauges, which I began calling "dangle gauges" because they floated around in the general vicinity of my center console area (until we finally fiberglassed them into a pod that sat in my center console), definitely were due for an upgrade.
I chose Dakota Digital's Odyssey Series (ODY-19-4) Quad Air Pressure Gauge, using five 0-400 psi senders (SEN-03-5), allowing for pressure readings for the tank and each corner. Having tank pressure inside the cab was something I had wanted for a long time, and the Dakota Digital gauges allowed for this easily.
By modifying the fiberglass pod that had held the needle gauges, and wrapping this pod in tweed, the Dakota Digital gauges looked right at home in my center console, and allowed for quick, accurate pressure readings.
