Mike Finnegan's weekend update on his project C10...

STRAIGHT FROM FINNEGAN -

"Saturday- cleaned up my corner of the shop so i could find my tools. lol then i cycled the IRS so I could build mount the Fox shocks. The lower control arms are boxed in with steel plate, which allowed me to drop the bottom shock mount below the arm, enabling me to install a longer stroke shock. Re-assembled the IRS one last time with the shocks and bags in place with Grade 8 hardware. It'll stay together until its time to align the truck.

Sunday- Mocked up IFS and got a ballpark alignment done using a tape measure. This was so i could fab up front shock mounts. Didn't get the mounts made but the templates are finished.

Welded together air compressor mounts out of 1/8-inch steel plate and installed the compressors. Built threaded air tank mounts on the lathe and mounted the tanks to the bed mounts, under what would normally be the bed floor. Planned out plumbing and valve placement. Air tanks will have to come back out so threaded bungs can be welded in for the air fittings. The tanks are built from 3/16-inch thick 8x4x24-inch long rectangular steel tubing."
