Havasu Havoc is only hours away, and while I have been so excited about this for so long now, I somehow can't believe that's it's almost actually here!
In about 12 hours I will be at Ultra Wheels in Fullerton for Stop 1 of the State 2 State Cruise. In that 12 hours, a lot needs to get done: get off work at 6pm tonight, drive home, pack, get the truck ready (what a joke!), charge cameras, coordinate the trek out to Fullerton, sleep, then drive out to Fullerton in the early AM. And that's just the list of things that HAVE to get done, not to mention what I want to get done. If you really want to know, I would also like to shop a little, arrange my music for the long trip out, and completely detail my truck! I guess at some point it's just survival!
My goal is to have daily online updates while we're out there, but I can't promise anything until I see the situation.
In my quest to start packing, I checked the weather out in Havasu for this weekend, and came to this conclusion: HOT. Highs of 95, 99, and 98, for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, respectively. It crossed my mind that this could be interesting with no AC for the journey!!
This will be quite a journey, and I'm quite overwhelmed right now! I would be fooling myself to say I wasn't concerned at all about putting 650 miles on my S10, as this will be the biggest journey I've taken my truck on. Come to think of it, my truck hasn't been out of state! I haven't touched the truck mechanically or suspension-wise besides changing the oil, as I'm relying on the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" theory. This truck does see almost 100 miles daily as it is.
Hope you can make it out there! Hope you're not as stressed as I am!
