If Scion Built a Truck, How Would You Want It?

After the replacement of the first-generation Tacoma with the comparatively huge second-generation Taco, many mini-truckers have lamented the death of the true mini truck.

But it seems it might not be the end of the world after all. Reportedly, Scion is looking at expanding its product lineup, and a small pickup might be part of that mix. Whether it will be some car-based, unibody crossover thingamajigger, or a true, body-on-frame pickup is anyone's guess, but there would sure be a lot of happy Mini Truckers if Scion simply offered a re-badged first-gen Taco, maybe with an upgraded motor (2.7L), but otherwise, compact, simple, and straightforward.

Here's your chance to sound off about what you'd like to see if Scion offered a true mini truck once again. Let us know your thoughts! What engine would you like to see? Bed/cab configurations? 2WD only, or 4x4 too? What price should they offer it at?

3. They just need to make a basic, down-to-earth pickup. No funky stuff, no car-based stuff. Like you said, just a simple re-badge of the last-gen Taco, 2.7L, 2WD only. Tweed cloth interior, maybe a few sweet stereo options, but PLEASE, give us a true mini-truck, not some bloated monstrosity like the Tacoma has become.

7. i want a simple body on it. nothing like this new stuff their coming out with that looks like its battery powered. something like a taco would be alright with me.... but i deff. want some power out of it too.

8. if they were to build a truck..... i would want the friggin thing to at least have a sheetmetal body. these things now days are all made of abs plastic and fiberglass.i mean u get into a lil fender bender and u cant just pull the dent out, u got to buy a new fender, cause the one on it gets smashed all to *** anywho i mean i think it would be cool to even see a hybrid mimi cause after all isnt that the point in the first place for a mini truck was to save gas and still be able to haul *** mean imo in times where gas is fu@*in 3 dollas a gallon, why are we building bigger trucks with bigger motors, just puttin money in all those twisted politicians pockets, but thats a whole other rant right there....im actually thinkin of gettin a motor out of a hybrid and droppin it in my 94 yota....wonder if i could get a SEMA sponsor for that???? anyways this is my rant
