As my friends and I roll up to the registration area for the event, a show grounds full of custom rides and the latest music playing for all to hear greeted us. This is the first run on the west coast since Reso and having to go six months in between runs is a tragedy, but I’ll save that for another story. Summer Madness has always been on the smaller side of truck runs, so to see that it was over 300 vehicles when we rolled through Friday night was a good sign as to how the show on Saturday would turn out. Even though I did go to sleep until 7am Saturday morning and back up only a couple hours later, I didn’t care I was at a truck run. If you missed it, sucks to be you. If you made it a point to be there then you left on Sunday with memories of good times and possibly a trophy and a hangover.
