I love my job, don't get me wrong, but I do have a rival love - outdoors. I love to be outside, whether it be the mountains or beach or desert or park. Unfortunately, my job as Web Producer here keeps me tied to a computer during most valuable outdoor daylight hours during the week. In order to combat this, I have decided to make the best out of the opportunities I do have to enjoy the great outdoors.
This past weekend my family and I traveled to "the desert." We packed down the family van with five people, and added five dirt bikes and a thrashed Christmas tree in tow. The objective of this pre-planned group excursion was to meet up with fellow campers for a weekend of fun, relaxation, and general family mischief.
As you can tell, the Christmas trees were delicately lined up according to size and in an aesthetically pleasing manner. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of them burning, as it happened very quickly. I'll leave that to your imagination. Speaking of imagination, the fire safety "people" didn't find our creativity so fascinating, as they dropped by our camp before and after to keep an eye on our activities. But then again, we couldn't expect them to condone burning 21 Christmas trees laced with fireworks...
