The Sport of Mini Truckin'

Mini Truckin' As a Sport, Hobby, or Lifestyle?

...but is it a sport, after all?

You often hear the word tossed around - "Support the sport of mini truckin'" or "keep our sport alive," for example. While I can understand it being labeled a hobby or a lifestyle, I cannot see how it could be considered a sport. Let's look at the definition of "sport." A sport is an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, body dropping mini trucks (no, I actually just added that one), etc. Another definition: diversion; recreation; pleasant pastime. Mini truckin' is a pleasant, recreational pastime that requires skill and is of a competitive nature. You could also stretch it so far as to say it involves teams when you factor in clubs and club participation. It is, however, a stretch to call it an athletic activity, unless you factor in the force physically involved in working on trucks. So, I don't know - what do you guys think? Sport or no sport? I'm sticking with hobby or lifestyle. It can be a hobby without being a lifestyle, so I don't think it's fair to equate hobby with lifestyle.
