In your opinion, what does it take for a vehicle to be titled Best of Show?
Although generally considered the most significant and prestigious award given at a show, there are no clear-cut, widespread criteria as to what qualifies a vehicle for this award. Is it simply the "wow" factor? Is it the truck with the most potential? Is it a truck that drives and is road-worthy? Is only a trailer queen deserving of such an honor? Is it the most popular truck, attracting a huge crowd all weekend? Is it the truck built by "that guy" that knows everyone? Does the no-name underdog stand a chance? Is it a political decision made before the show even begins? Can an under-construction truck qualify?
Here's my opinion. Best of Show should be just that - the best. It should have the best combination of exterior, interior, engine, fabrication, etc. of any vehicles at the show. It should be a complete package. Whether driven to the show or not, it needs to be a running, fully functional truck, able to drive into the show area under its own power.
Again, this is my opinion. What do you think?
