Today's Picture of the Day shows one of many completed custom trucks from minitruckinweb.com's current Scale Model Build Contest. Builders had 3 months (February 8-May 10, 2010) to customize a scale model. Progress was tracked on the minitruckinweb.com Mini Truck Scale Model Buildup forum through required updates posted by the builders. Minitruckinweb.com hosted 3 Rounds of this contest previously; Rounds 1 and 2 received magazine coverage. The Build Contest that ended today featured an Invite Round (for the Winners & Podium finishers of Rounds 1, 2, and 3) and an open Round 4 that run simultaneously.

Although the deadline is today, builders still have several hours to update their forum threads with last minute finishing touches. The bar has been raised and these models are simply insane.
