Greetings from day 2 of our Social Media Training at the El Segundo facility.
We have been learning about Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other social media outlets. Ironically, right now we are learning about blogs. It is unfortunate that Editor John Mata declined this opportunity, as this tech center has a lot to offer! (Too bad John’s not 21 yet…he missed out! Have I mentioned lately that five years later, I still like my job?)
Anyway, this all is quite interesting, as several years ago we were blocked from social media sites while at work. Mini Truckin’ did not have a Facebook page. Now seeing us all on Facebook during this seminar – and actually being allowed to be – definitely marks a shift in the way we’re doing things. And kids, you never know – your parents might be at work right now learning how to create a Facebook account. Stranger things have happened, I think…
One of the slides used a tweet from our beloved John Mata as an example. Notice its content. I couldn’t resist the urge to grab a quick picture, because it was just so funny. As you can see, Mini Truckin’ knows how to communicate, bringing you the raw facts that you want. The PR firm liked this tweet.
